: you are slowly talking me into this aquamist thing. So does the water just help to cool the intake charge or does it somehow help the mixture to burn hotter or more completely? I'm just trying to figure out how the water added 3psi. Not doubting it did at all, just trying to understand it. :) water adds octane to fuel. it has to do with some molecular shit. a standard aquamist install will add 3-5 octane points to the fuel rating with just water as an additive. water also cools the intake charge. colder air = denser air = more fuel to compensate for more air = more powah!
then you get the added benefits of steam cleaned internals. carbon deposits can cause detonation since they will 'hot spot'. : And yes, please post pics of your mangled intake pipe too late, went through and tightened everything up. car idles now. it's funny cause the pipe was all mangled funny and took some coersion to come out from its hole it stuffed itself into...really odd configuration...strange. (nixit=baffled)
